Parsian Arvand Petroleum Coke

Parsian Arvand Petroleum Coke Processing Company (Private Joint Stock Company) was established in 2005 in Khorramshahr County with the aim of industrial development, creating sustainable employment in underdeveloped areas, and providing reliable raw materials for the country’s strategic industries.

After a period of stagnation, this complex resumed its activities in 2020 by attracting an investment of $50 million and changing the management structure, revitalizing production lines and completely renovating industrial equipment.

The company’s industrial complex is designed with rotary kiln technology and a nominal capacity of 240,000 tons per year, and is known as the first and largest petroleum coke calcination unit in Iran.

Currently, the first phase of the complex is in operation with a capacity of 80,000 tons per year and has created more than 150 direct job opportunities in the region. The equipment for the second phase has also been purchased and is ready for installation, and with the implementation of the development plan, the production capacity of the complex has increased to 240,000 tons per year, and the company will reach full utilization of its nominal capacity.

Calcined petroleum coke (CPC) is one of the key raw materials in the production of aluminum anodes and graphite electrodes and steel industries.

Producing this product domestically is an important step towards industrial self-sufficiency, preventing foreign exchange outflows, and providing sustainable supply to the aluminum and steel industries.
